TurboRater Monthly Newsletter - November 2010

New Updates for TurboRater Web Edition

We have added several new features to TurboRater Web Edition in our recent update. This newsletter will highlight just a few of the key enhancements. To see a complete list of the new updates, please view the weekly update notification sent to you via email on November 19, 2010.

Key Enhancements

Quote Letters:
Sending a follow-up letter to a potential or current client after a providing a quote is important because it puts your company's name in front of the client again, and in a positive light. A good letter can help you clinch a wavering customer and persuade them to complete the transaction. Learn more about Quote Letters

Edit Symbols:
Symbols are provided to us by the companies. This new button will allow you to edit the symbol provided and enter your own.

Endorsement Calculator:

The endorsement calculator can be found by clicking on Endorsement under the Forms menu.  If you are not in an existing quote, you will be prompted to complete the insured's contact information first.

Bridges to Mexico Insurance Companies:

Just in time for the Mexico Insurance rush, we have incorporated several bridges to Mexico Insurance companies. For those companies you do not do business with, you can remove the icon from your toolbar under the Preferences – All Locations tab. Use the endorsement calculator to determine the difference in premium, the prorated amount, the additional amount needed for the down payment and remaining payments.

How to Upgrade

Upgrading to Web Edition is easy.

» If you are currently an Online Quote Storage Subscriber
If you currently subscribe to our Online Quote Storage, simply download
the Quick Start Guide for Online Quote Storage Users and you can start using all of the new features in Web Edition by the end of the day.  Note:  You will have access to BOTH the Desktop and Web Edition at the same time, no additional charge.  So if you have employees that may be disinclined to software changes, that is ok.  They can run the current Desktop Edition at the same time other employees are using Web Edition and you can share quotes between both.  The only issue that may be presented is if you do a quote with more than four cars or four drivers in Web Edition, you will not be able to pull that quote up in your current Desktop edition. Other than that, the two versions work great together.

» If you store your own quotes
In order to utilize the browser-based technology available with the new Web Edition, a subscription to online quote storage will be required.  The benefits of using online quote storage far outweigh the minimal cost for the subscription.  Contact our sales department today to learn more at (800) 383-3482 x189.
